Hi, kids! Stephen Romano here, from Eibon Press, and guess what?  We're about to eat 2025 alive, with a whole slate of stuff, starting on MAY 23!  We apologize also for the radio silence, but there have been many behind-the-scenes follies. Frankly, it's been a strange time for us. I will be brief about it.

In 2022, we basically sold the company to Vinegar Syndrome, and I stayed on as the "creative director" of the newly minted Vinegar Syndrome Publishing, under which Eibon basically became a sub-imprint in 2023. I think we managed to pull of some pretty cool stuff over there, and it's mostly all still available. We did the ZOMBIE BOX SET (Now in its second printing) the MANIAC BOX SET (which is sold out), the MANIAC 2 BOX SET (about 450 copies left) and the HOUSE BY THE CEMETERY BOX SET (less than 150 copies left).  At those hot links you can still zip over there and get a copy of the stuff that isn't sold out. Here's a link to our HANDY NEW CATALOG PAGE, too. I have to stress strongly that those sets do not contain REPRINTS of the original issues. We did ALL NEW EDITIONS OF EVERY ISSUE in those sets, with new graphic branding, new covers, new content and a lot more. It was a SHIT-TON of work and I did a LOT of it myself.  And we were looking towards the future as well, with many new books like DIVA JACKSON and THE UNDERGROUND TOXIC WASTE MUTANTS.

Unfortunately... well, stuff happened.

The short version is that Vinegar Syndrome Publishing is essentially no more, folded into another division over there called VS Press. To be honest, I'm not exactly sure how that all breaks down, but they aren't making new books anymore, as of this writing, and I no longer work for them. Eibon Press is a free agent again. The major stopgap in product has been a result of that whole process, which took up the better part of last year. Again, we apologize, but... well, stuff happens.

THE GOOD NEWS is that our exit from VS was amicable, and we were able to retain the rights to DIVA and MUTANTS and many other ORIGINAL books we developed and created there, and we made a deal with them to release each and every remaining library title Eibon did "back in the day," as full graphic novel collections. THESE ARE COMING YOUR WAY SOON!  Now, let me be clear: THESE NEW RELEASES ARE NOT THE SAME BOX SETS we did with them before, but very affordable, single-volume collections that contain multi-issue story arcs from cover to cover. (As MANY of you suggested!) ALSO, these are not Vinegar Syndrome books. They are Eibon Press books, and VS just happens to be our distribution partner. And so they left us alone to do this our way, THE EIBON PRESS WAY. With that in mind, we're going totally old school with these new books, kids! Each volume has a variant cover edition and they're all in Eibon Sleeves, too. We even have a PSYCHO FAN PACKAGE for our first release, just for you guys... which is the all-new Fulci sequel... THE NEW YORK RIPPER 2!

This will drop at VS on MAY 23, 2025.

THE NEW YORK RIPPER 2 was the only project I developed at Vinegar Syndrome Publishing that remained on a release slate, when all the other stuff was dropped, and so it is, indeed, ALL NEW and all AMAZING.  It's some of the best work we've ever done at Eibon, and you're going to eat it with a spoon!  It's a sequel that picks up in 1989, nine years after the events of the film--and the events of MANIAC, in which "Duckface" first appeared, if you know your Eibon lore. The art is by the incredible  Alex Sarabia and the legendary Derek Rook. I wrote it myself because I write all the Eibon stuff, and I was the editor, of course.

As with all the new releases we have coming, the book will be available in a LIMITED EDITION RUN of just 1,000 COPIES, with a VARANT COVER EDITION of just 500 COPIES. Each edition has its own unique cover and sleeve art.

This one has been years in the making and it seemed "cursed" for some time. Only one issue of the original series was published "back the day." But now all three chapters have been completed and collected as the final, epic book of the Saga. It's the ultimate, batshit-crazy sequel to THE BEYOND, which picks up in several places, right where the film leaves off!  Ever wonder what happens to John and Liza when they disappear into the Sea Of Darkness? What about the other characters and their fates in the Hospital Of the Living Dead?  All these questions and many others are answered as we open the Gates Of Hell one final time, for a climactic battle between good and evil that will shake the universe to its core. The complete five issue series, never completed at Eibon, is now lovingly collected and presented here in an epic 250 PAGE FULL COLOR TRADE PAPERBACK VOLUME that will blow your eyes right out of your mind.  This was our tribute to the Mad Max ripoff films of the 1980s, which became a wild "cyberpunk" story along the lines of films like THE MATRIX and THE LATHE OF HEAVEN, in which reality has been rewritten by evil computers and, as a direct consequence, Road Warriors now rule the wasteland! (Because OBVIOUSLY!) Only Janet of the Apocalypse can save us all... or can she?  We've saved the best for last, kids, and you'll devour this incredible collection like the awesome, hungry beasts you are!  This also has an audiobook soundtrack which we'll make available in some form or another; more deets about that as 2026 approaches.
